Discover Volunteer Opportunities at the DeKalb County History Center!

Like being around people? The History Center is looking for greeters. Like solving a mystery? The History Center is looking for researchers. Like sharing your passion for history? The History Center is looking for people to help with programming. Discover a variety of different opportunities at the DeKalb County History Center during a Volunteer Information Meeting on August 5 at 3:00 p.m.

The History Center has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. If you have time, they can put you to work. Some of the jobs include working with the public, while others are more behind the scenes, and there are even at-home options and gardening work. Volunteers can work once a week, once a month, or even once a year for annual events like the Pumpkin Fest Historic Homes Tour.

“Our volunteers are an essential part of our work, and we would love to have some more people join our family!” explained Michelle Donahoe, Executive Director.

The Volunteer Informational Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5 at 3:00 p.m. Registration is recommended but optional, so we ask that you respond to educator@dekalbcountyhistory.org by 8/3/26 if you can join us!
