Get a glimpse inside some of Sycamore’s “Hidden Gems” during a sneak peek of the annual Pumpkin Fest Historic Homes Tour.
During the next Brown Bag/Local Lore program, the DeKalb County History Center’s House Walk committee will lead a discussion about the featured homes and share information about volunteer opportunities. This year’s theme is “Hidden Gems,” and will showcase unique homes outside of the Historic District. The program will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, at the DeKalb County History Center, 1730 N. Main St., Sycamore. The Pumpkin Fest Historic Homes Tour will be held on October 28. Tickets will be available for purchase soon.
The Brown Bag/Local Lore program is held on the first Thursday of the month and is co-sponsored by the Ellwood House. For those unable to attend, there is also an option to participate via Zoom. For more information call 815-895-5762. This free program is generously sponsored by the Mary E. Stevens Concert and Lecture Fund.
