May Brown Bag – Eat Local: Farmers Market Panel

From fresh produce, to locally-made goods, to favorite food trucks, DeKalb’s downtown Farmers’ Market has become a weekly summer staple.
On Thursday, May 2 at noon, join vendors from this year’s market at the Ellwood House Museum for a panel discussion about the importance of local food and local business, moderated by organizer Virginia Filicetti. Panelists will include Tori Eisenberg, owner of Nature’s Handywork; Stacie Miller, owner of Baker’s Dream Dessert Co.; and Country Financial’s Gavin Wilson.
“Eat Local: Panel Discussion Featuring DeKalb Farmers’ Market” is part of “Brown Bag Lunch,” a free lecture series offered in collaboration by the Ellwood House Museum and DeKalb County History Center. Participants are welcome to bring lunch and eat during the program.
Brown Bag Lunch/Local Lore is funded in part by the Mary E. Stevens Concert and Lecture Fund.
Ellwood House Museum is located at 420 Linden Place in DeKalb. Parking is available on-site.
