
Movie Screening and Panel Discussion: “Harriet” (PG-13)
The DeKalb County History Center received a generous grant from the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board to support Arts in Action events.
The programming kicks off on January 21 with a FREE showing of the movie “Harriet.” The movie will be shown at 1:00 in the Freight Room at the DeKalb County Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Avenue in Sycamore followed by a panel discussion about the Underground Railroad in DeKalb County and its legacy. The panel includes Dr. Joseph Mitchell, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church; Rev. Eric Ogi, Federated Church; and Michelle Donahoe, DeKalb County History Center. This event is being held in partnership with the DeKalb County Community Foundation and Sycamore Public Library.
