
Genealogy Class
On Wednesday, September 27 Julie Dresser will be leading a seven-session class that will provide hints, tips and tricks for genealogists. Dresser started as a genealogist at age eleven, and has never lost her passion. Now, she is sharing her knowledge with those interested in starting genealogy or those who want to brush up their skills. The seven weeks will include 1) Introduction and home sources 2) Birth, marriage and death records 3) Census records 4) Immigration records 5) Military/court records and 6) Local and national repositories. 7) Writing a family history narrative. She will provide many personal examples during the class, and it is open to all ages.
Classes will take place on Wednesdays, at the History Center starting September 27 through November 8 at 6:30 p.m. Fee is $25 with space is limited to 20 people.
