Etched in Stone- Annual Elmwood Cemetery Walk

DeKalb County is home to a wide variety of interesting local history stories. One great way to discover some of these unique stories is by visiting area cemeteries. The DeKalb County History Center is hosting their annual Cemetery Walk, “Etched in Stone” on Sunday, October 4 at 1:30 p.m. Don’t miss this great opportunity to discover some little-known Sycamore history!

The program traditionally starts at the Mourning House with a welcome and overview of Elmwood Cemetery’s history. Then, visitors are led to different stops through the cemetery to discover these fascinating stories led by the Son’s of Union Veterans and History Center staff and volunteers. More details to come!

There is a $5 fee per person. You can register in advance or pay on-site the day of the Cemetery Walk (cash or check only for day-of).
