Dare to Connect!: Community Stories Among Us
Since 2017, Dr. Ada Cheng has worked to create platforms for people to tell difficult and vulnerable stories. A former DePaul University professor, Cheng utilizes storytelling to illustrate structural inequities, raise critical awareness, and build intimate communities.
Over the last month Dr. Cheng has worked with DeKalb community members to explore and develop their own stories.
On April 20 from 7-8:30 PM, these speakers will share their stories in a free showcase event. The program will be hosted in Ellcourt, one of the Ellwood House Museum’s two historic homes.
Parking is available on-site at 420 Linden Place in DeKalb. Space is limited; registration is available but not required. Visit Eventbrite for more information.
