Brown Bag Lunch Series: Historic Homes Tour Sneak Preview

Get a glimpse inside some of Sycamore’s “patriotic homes” during a sneak peek of the annual Pumpkin Fest Historic Homes Tour!

During this Brown Bag Lunch program, the DeKalb County History Center’s House Walk Committee will “reveal” this year’s featured homes and share information about volunteer opportunities during the Annual Historic Homes Tour. This year’s theme is “Patriotic Pumpkin,” and will showcase a variety of red, white, and blue homes, each with intriguing stories.

The Pumpkin Fest Historic Homes Tour will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the History Center at 815-895-5762 or sign up through our online portal here. Volunteers who attend the training meeting on Saturday, October 17 at 10:00 am, work one of the three hours shift on Saturday, October 24, will each receive one free House Walk ticket – a $30 value!

The Brown Bag Lunch program is held on the first Thursday of the month and is co-sponsored by the Ellwood House Museum. For more information, visit dekalbcountyhistory.org or call 815-895-5762!

This free program is partially funded by the Illinois Arts Council.
