
Brown Bag Lunch/Local Lore: Restoring the Ellwood House
The July installment of the Brown Bag Lunch/Local Lore lecture series will feature Brian Reis, Executive Director of the Ellwood House Museum. Reis will give fascinating details and insights on the various rooms, artifacts, and history of the Ellwood family and what it takes to restore and maintain this beautiful and historic property. This free one-hour lecture will take place in the Visitor Center. Doors will open at 11:30 A.M. with the lecture beginning at noon.
The Brown Bag Lunch/Local Lore program is hosted by the DeKalb County History Center & the Ellwood House Museum in the Ellwood House Visitor Center, 509 North First Street, DeKalb. The program is free and open to the public, and donations are welcome. Coffee and cookies will be provided, and guests are also welcome to bring a lunch. For more information, call 815-895-5762.
