Brown Bag/Local Lore: Sycamore Park District’s 100 Anniversary
Happy Anniversary to the Sycamore Park District! Established in 1923, the Sycamore Park District has been a key element of the community. During the August 3 Brown Bag/Local Lore program, Sycamore Park District’s Executive Director Jonelle Bailey will lead a fun and insightful conversation with panel members about Sycamore Park District’s history. A variety of perspectives from residents, staff, and past board members will bring back personal memories while exploring what challenges and triumphs helped make the agency what it is today.
This program is made possible through a generous grant from the Mary E Stevens Concert and Lecture Fund and is a collaboration between the Ellwood House Museum and DeKalb County History Center. This month’s Brown Bag/Local Lore starts at 12:00 will be at the Sycamore Park District Community Center, 480 Airport Road in Sycamore. The program will be offered as a hybrid, and registration is encouraged. Visit dekalbcountyhistory.org to register in-person or to attend virtually. If you have any questions, call 815-895-5762.
