If you love James Taylor and Jackson Browne, you’ll love Sam Robbins. You can feel why this Nashville based musician is often described as an “old soul singer songwriter” whose music evokes classic 70’s singer songwriters, Sam adds a modern, upbeat edge to the storyteller troubadour persona. He won at the Kerrville Folk Festival, one of the largest and most prestigious songwriting competition in the country. Hailed by Fateau Magazine in the UK as “One of the most promising new songwriters of his generation”. Jim Kanas, who The Chicago Tribune calls ” …a master…” and who effortlessly channels Doc Watson and Joe Pass is Sam Robbins, special guest for the evening.
As part of the Arts in Action project, Sam Robbins will be performing music that aligns with the project’s main themes – Fear, Exclusion, Hope and Community. More details to come.
